Its neighbor villages include Agios Thomas and Avdimou to the south, Prastio Avdimou to the southeast, Pachna to the northeast, Dora to the north, Platanisteia and Mousere to the northwest, and Archimandrita to the west.

Moreover, Anogyra makes a wonderful location and is in the spotlight for agricultural tourism. Every year in September, a Pasteli Festival is held to honor the heritage of creating the sweets. The festival also incorporates local cuisine and a schedule of folkloric entertainment.
There are a number of foreign people living in the village permanently in addition to Greek Cypriots. The real estate market is made up of various types of properties that include houses, apartments, villas and plots of land. The style of the properties may be traditional Cypriot or more modern.
