Kivisili is a village in the district of Larnaca, about 18 kilometers southwest of the city. Next to it, the villages of Aplanta and Softades are located. The village is situated at an average altitude of 80 meters on the eastern bank of the Puzi river. The village's surroundings are steep to the north and undulating to the south. From a transportation standpoint, Kivisili is connected to Alethriko village in the northwest via an asphalt road, and to the village of Tersefanou in the northeast. Additionally, a dirt road links the village to Mazotos in the southwest.
In the area of the village there are ancient remains dating back to the Bronze Age. In Kivisili’s center, which was a mosque’s former location, since the village was Turkish Cypriot before the Turkish invasion, now a small park for children has been built. The Panagia Eleousis church is situated on Pouzi’s river eastern bank. Prior to 1974, Alethriko’s Greek Cypriot residents would visit the church and perform services there.
