Mitsero is a village in the district of Nicosia and is constructed at an average elevation of 390 meters above sea level. The story behind the village’s name's genesis is complex. In the Great Commandery's documents, it was referred to as Micero. It is said that it obtained its name from the local plants and mulberry trees. On historical maps, the village is identified as Micco. Mitsero is located in the geographic center of Cyprus, as can be seen by looking at the map.
It is noteworthy that nearly all of the flowers, herbs, etc. that can be found in Cyprus are included in the Mitsero Flora. Aromatic and medicinal plants are growing here on a large scale that is used for the natural cosmetics industry.
The Kokkinopezoulas mine, the Kokkinogias mine, and the red lake are also located in the village of Mitsero, which make up stunning scenery! Due to the minerals and its high acidity, the lake's water had turned red. In the Lake District, nature has recently started to mend its wounds and display signs of life. Given that it exhibits a rare phenomenon, it is currently a major point of interest for numerous tourists, both foreigners, and locals, as it is something extremely unique that you don’t come across often.
Due to Mitsero’s location which is lying between mountains and rivers, residents of the community choose to build their homes where the sun shines most. Recently some new houses are being built too. The real estate market in the settlement is made up of a variety of properties including houses, villas, bungalows, and plots of land. We feature 16 fält till salu in Mitsero.
