The origin of the name Analiontas has been the subject of much debate, with various theories proposed to explain its etymology. One theory suggests that the name derives from the verb "analyze", owing to the village's historical association with copper processing in the Tamassos region. During ancient times, the village was home to mines and facilities where copper ores were analyzed and processed, a fact that is supported by the presence of rocks in the village that date back to this period. According to this theory, the name Analiontas is a testament to the village's rich history and its important role in the copper trade that flourished in the area during ancient times.
