At a height of 250 meters, Palodia is a semi-mountainous village in the district of Limassol, located 7 kilometers from the city center. The community borders Spitali, Paramytha, and Fasoula. As it is said, the village has been established since the Frankish era. When the entranceway between Agia Filaxios and Palodia opened, it is claimed to have been renamed from “parodia” to “Palodia”, and this is how the settlement earned its name.
Sowing and harvesting were two of the primary jobs performed by Palodia’s residents in earlier times. The community is renowned for its honey production and clay pots, and hence, the locals now work in pottery and beekeeping.
