Monagroulli is a village in the district of Limassol, and it is located 15 kilometers east of Limassol. It shares boundaries with Moni and Pyrgos to the west, Vasa Kellakiou and Sanida to the north, and Pentakomo and Asgata to the east. According to legend, the location of the settlement with very fruitful fields, is where the name of the village got inspired by. Hence, it was named as Monagroulli from the words “agros” and “moni” because monks used to work these fields.
The majority of the village’s residents, live in the tranquil atmosphere of the area and work in Limassol city. However, some are also involved in agriculture. What is really standing out in Monagroulli, is its 2-kilometer-long beach which is in a pristine region of exceptional natural beauty.
