One year after the devastating wildfires in Limassol, recovery efforts continue across the affected communities, with more than €23 million already invested in rebuilding homes, restoring infrastructure and supporting local businesses. The funding is helping communities recover while improving essential services and public spaces.

Support has included financial assistance for households, repairs to damaged homes, rental support and aid for local businesses. Restoration work has also been completed on water networks, roads and environmental areas affected by the fires, while land clearing and other improvement projects have helped communities return to normal.

In addition to the recovery work, €1.7 million in public donations has been raised to support local communities. Part of the funding will go towards new community projects, while the remaining amount will be used to purchase 17 new fire engines to strengthen emergency response in the Limassol district and help communities prepare for the future.
