A new solar energy project worth more than €4 million is planned for the suburb of Aradippou, marking another step toward renewable energy and sustainable development in the area. Local authorities have announced that the tender process for the project is now under way, with construction expected to be completed within approximately 18 months.

The new solar farm is expected to generate 3.61 megawatts of energy and forms part of wider efforts to strengthen energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact. The investment, estimated at around €4.25 million, will be fully funded through local resources, reflecting a long-term commitment to greener infrastructure and more sustainable energy solutions.

Once completed, the solar farm will become part of a growing network of renewable energy initiatives already operating in the area, alongside environmentally focused projects aimed at reducing emissions and improving energy resilience. The development is expected to contribute to lower energy costs, increased sustainability and a more environmentally conscious future for the local community.
