Early indicators for the upcoming summer tourism season are encouraging, with a steady flow of bookings across multiple international markets, particularly favouring the Famagusta district. Demand is expected to pick up from early April, when the majority of hotels in the area are scheduled to reopen, marking a strong start to the new season.

Bookings are coming from a wide range of traditional and emerging markets, including the United Kingdom, Poland, Israel, Scandinavia and several Central European countries. Industry representatives say this broad-based interest creates optimism for a successful summer, although the sector remains cautious due to ongoing regional developments that could affect travel trends.

At the same time, efforts to strengthen promotion and extend the tourist season are continuing. Targeted online campaigns are entering their third year, focusing on key European markets such as the UK, Germany, Sweden, Poland, France, Switzerland and Hungary, following encouraging results in previous seasons. Participation in major international tourism exhibitions is also planned in the coming months, while attention is turning to boosting arrivals during the shoulder and winter periods, particularly November and March, with the longer-term aim of expanding tourism activity throughout the year.
