Ayia Napa launches €4.5M amphitheatre and sports initiative

The Ayia Napa Municipality has announced two exciting projects worth over €4.5 million. These include building an outdoor amphitheater in Avgorou and creating an outdoor sports area in Achna. The aim is to improve facilities for residents and visitors while adding more cultural, sporting, and social spaces to the area.

Mayor Christos Zannetou described the signing of the contracts as a “historic moment” for the municipality. He said the projects will upgrade local infrastructure and help support activities that improve quality of life. The deputy mayors of Achna and Avgorou expressed their thanks to everyone involved in making the projects possible.

The construction will be handled by Imatech Kounna Ltd, whose director promised high-quality work and timely completion. These projects mark an important step for Ayia Napa, blending tourism with community development.
