The charming village of Anogyra is situated in the Limassol district, about 45 kilometers from the city of Limassol, at a height of 170 meters. By taking the A6 highway, followed by the F607, one can reach the settlement. The history of Anogyra stretches back to the Neolithic era. As for its name, it may have been inspired by the plant “anagyris” that is growing in the village or due to the fact that the village was known as “Gyroi” and now it is upper (“ano”). Its neighbor villages include Agios Thomas and Avdimou to the south, Prastio Avdimou to the southeast, Pachna to the northeast, Dora to the north, Platanisteia and Mousere to the northwest, and Archimandrita to the west.
