The President announced that an extra 40,000 beneficiaries will be included to this year's amazing Christmas gift program, bringing the total to over 100,000. The groups that were left out of last year's program will be the focus of this expansion.

"We are increasing the number of beneficiaries to exceed 100,000", stated President Christodoulides. National servicemen and women, new moms, people who have been resettled, third and large families who are receiving child benefits, and single-parent households who are eligible for the benefit regardless of their savings or income level are among these new groups.

This increased program will cost almost €20 million in total, which is more than €3 million more than the amount allocated last year.

Residents in communities at altitudes exceeding 600 meters will receive financial help amounting to 50% of the assistance provided previously.

"This initiative will benefit approximately 23,000 individuals from 10,000 households in 128 regions, with an overall expenditure of close to €3 million", the President stated.

He emphasized that these measures demonstrate the government’s commitment to responsible financial management, enabling targeted social policies and expanded beneficiary support.
