Extended deadline for energy upgrading scheme applications for large businesses
The Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry (MoEIC) has announced an extension for applications to the "Grant Scheme for Energy Upgrading and Competitiveness Enhancement of Large Enterprises." The new deadline for submissions is September 30, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.
This scheme, part of Measures C3.1I7 and C6.1I5 of Cyprus' Recovery and Resilience Plan (RSP), has a total funding allocation of €17 million. Notably, €10 million of this amount is sourced from the EU REPowerEU Plan through the Cyprus Cohesion Fund. These funds are designated for expenditures aligned with the REPowerEU objectives.
Applications, along with required supporting documents, must be submitted exclusively through the online Grant Scheme System available at https://fundingapps.meci.gov.cy. Proposals will be evaluated based on their submission order, and funding approvals will be capped at the available budget.
For detailed information, including the Plan Guide and necessary forms, applicants can visit the Office of Industry and Technology's website.
Additionally, the "List of Required Supporting Documents" has been updated. While unaudited financial statements for 2022 will now be accepted, audited financial statements must be submitted by November 30, 2024.
