Eleftheria Square enters full festive mode with daily Christmas market activity

The Christmas market at Eleftheria Square will switch to a daily opening schedule from Saturday, 20 December, as Nicosia enters the busiest part of the festive season. The “Handmade in Cyprus” market, organised in cooperation with Nicosia Municipality, will run daily until 4 January, except on bank holidays.

Modelled on traditional European Christmas markets, the event features the work of more than 200 local artists, with around 40 makers participating each day on a rotating basis. This approach supports small businesses while offering visitors a fresh experience each time they attend.

The market is part of the capital’s wider Christmas programme and is connected to Paramythoupoli and other festive activities. Alongside handmade products, visitors can enjoy seasonal food, creative workshops and surprise street performances throughout the holiday period.
