Cyprus makes it to the top 10 list of UK holiday favorites

Cyprus is now the 10th most popular travel destination in the UK. This shift reflects changing priorities and trends in vacation selections.

Travel preferences of British vacationers are changing, according to a recent survey by the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA). One of the main conclusions is:

Travelers from Britain now rank Cyprus as their tenth most popular destination, indicating a shift in their vacation preferences.

The increasing popularity of year-round travel is one noteworthy development. May and June are currently the most popular months for British travelers who go overseas because they provide greater value. Travel agencies are extending the summer season to satisfy this demand, particularly in popular countries like Greece and Turkey.

With an average of 1.4 trips per person, 52% of British vacationers went overseas in the previous year, which is quite similar to numbers from before the pandemic began. Furthermore, two out of every three respondents stated that they planned to travel abroad in the upcoming year.

It's interesting to note that overseas city breaks have become more popular than traditional beach vacations; 40% of respondents said they preferred urban getaways, while 34% chose coastal retreats.

Britain's most popular travel destination is still Spain, which is followed by France, Italy, the USA, and Greece. Notably, Turkey has returned to the top ten list and secured the eighth position, demonstrating a solid comeback. Cyprus, despite a little decline in popularity, comes in at number ten on the list.

These findings show that UK holidaymakers' preferences are changing, and the travel industry is adjusting to meet these shifting needs.
