Limassol municipality distributed around 350 Christmas “love parcels” on Thursday through its Social Grocery Stores, offering festive support to people facing financial difficulties. The distribution began in the morning, with parcels prepared both for registered beneficiaries and for additional individuals and families in need during the holiday period.
The parcels were enriched for Christmas and include not only basic food items but also sweets, fresh meat, supermarket vouchers and toys for children. Specially tailored parcels were also prepared for specific needs, such as large families and people with health conditions. Each parcel is valued at over €30, aiming to provide meaningful assistance to households during the festive season.
Municipal representatives highlighted the importance of the Social Grocery Store in supporting vulnerable citizens, stressing that it will continue operating as long as there is need. They also thanked donors, volunteers and staff for their contribution, noting that the initiative is constantly improving to better target and support those most in need.
