€478 million in new loans recorded for 2024

In the first two months of 2024, new loans totaled €478 million, according to recent data from the Central Bank.

Net new loan amounts increased to €263 million in February alone, from €215.3 million in January.

In further detail, consumer loans decreased from €26.7 million (with €19.7 million net new loans) to €23.2 million (with €21.3 million net new loans) this past month.

In the same way, new-home purchase loans decreased from €146.3 million in January to €144.1 million (with €79.2 million in net new loans) in February.

Non-financial companies looking for loans up to €1 million had a decrease in volume from €72.9 million to €57.3 million (with €37.6 million in net new loans) in the previous month. (with €40.6 million net new loans).

On the other hand, loans to non-financial companies for amounts more than €1 million had an increase, amounting to €340.7 million (net new loans of €124.4 million), as opposed to €210.5 million in January (net new loans of €83.3 million).
