The village offers various amenities such as shops, restaurants, pharmacies, supermarkets, and coffee shops, whereas the stunning Liopetri River, which is a natural fiord used as a shelter for the locals fishing boats and is accompanied by beautiful natural trails, hosts two of the best fish restaurants on the island. Historical monuments are also available in the village with Achironas, a war memorial of the National Liberation Struggle (1955-1959), being the most well-known.
