Major renovation works are set to begin at the Ledra–Ariadne multi-storey car park in the heart of Nicosia, as part of ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and accessibility within the historic walled city. The upgrade aims to modernise the facility while enhancing convenience and safety for residents and visitors using the busy city-centre location.

The seven-level car park, which includes underground and above-ground parking areas, offers 158 spaces, including dedicated spaces for people with disabilities. Planned improvements include upgraded lighting and ventilation systems, enhanced fire safety infrastructure, solar panel installation and a new parking guidance system. Additional works will feature refurbished public facilities, new flooring, repainting and updated internal signage designed to improve the overall user experience.

Construction is expected to last around ten months and will be carried out in phases to minimise disruption and allow the facility to remain partially operational throughout the project. The renovation forms part of a broader strategy focused on improving functionality, accessibility and the appearance of the historic city centre, while supporting a more modern and user-friendly urban environment.
