Pyrga is a village in the district of Larnaca and is around 23 kilometers from the city of Larnaca. From a transportation standpoint, Pyrga is connected to the villages of Kornos in the west, Agia Anna in the northeast, and through those cities, with the city of Larnaca.
In the village you can see the Tower of Marsellos, a mosque, the old aqueduct and the old fountain. There are four monasteries in Pyrga. The Panagia Stazousa Monastery, the Saint Modestos Monastery, the Old and Enclosed Holy Monastery of Stavrovouni, and the Monastery of Agia Varvara. The 270-meter-high settlement of Pyrga is literally submerged in the lush green of pine and untamed greenery. The mountains of Appidaki, Syinova, Vasioti, Evgali, Stavri, Viklia, and Pyrga shield and encircle the village.
