Larnaca is moving ahead with eight major projects worth €400 million, focused on upgrading the city’s infrastructure and protecting the environment. These include expanding sewage systems in several towns and villages, flood protection works in high-risk areas, and a new pumping station at the Oroklini seafront to address long-standing environmental issues.

The largest project, Phase IV of the sewage system (€270M), is planned to start in 2027 with funding from Cyprus and the EU, while Phase III (€110M) is already underway and expected to finish by 2026. Smaller projects include sewage systems for local homes and stormwater management, ensuring better living conditions for residents.

These investments aim to improve the quality of life, protect residents from floods, and create a more sustainable and resilient environment. They also demonstrate Larnaca’s commitment to long-term development, supporting economic growth, urban modernization, and a safer, cleaner city for the future.
