Searches for vacation destinations place Cyprus at number six

Cyprus is the sixth most popular travel destination for Britons in 2023, according to Google's most recent data release, giving vacation plans a touch of the Mediterranean.

Greece is ranked first, followed by Croatia, Spain, Italy, and Portugal. Thailand, Egypt, Malta, and Morocco are among the top 10 destinations, broadening the options for British tourists looking for unique experiences.

Rhodes is first in island searches, closely followed by Sicily. Orlando, ranks first among cities in the United States, followed by Tel Aviv, Seville, Marrakech, and other places.

Interestingly, 2023 has seen the greatest number of British searches for travel since 2019, indicating a strong rebound in interest in travel. The past year also saw a rise in searches for flights, hotels, and railway tickets for the third time in a row.
