Real estate market booms in Cyprus as property sales rise in early 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, the number of property sale documents in Cyprus increased by 15% compared to the same period in 2024, reaching a total of 4,137 documents. Despite a slight decrease in property transfers, their value increased significantly, exceeding 1.1 billion euros. Experts believe that demand for real estate remains high and the market is gradually responding, with lower interest rates boosting interest.

In terms of regions, Limassol remains the most active, with the highest number of sales and the greatest transfer value. Nicosia had the most property transfers, while Paphos and Larnaca continue to show increasing interest, with Larnaca being further boosted by ongoing investments. Famagusta has fewer sales and transfers, but the area shows upward trends due to its tourist nature.

Overall, the Cypriot real estate market continues to grow, with positive prospects for the future, although external factors, such as increases in material prices, may affect demand.
