Paphos tourism board approves expanded budget and 2026 development plan
Paphos’ regional tourism board (Etap) has approved an increased budget of €600,000 and a new action plan for 2026, focusing on enhancing visitor experiences, upgrading tourism products and expanding the region’s digital and promotional activities. The plan prioritises improving infrastructure, digitalising information, and intensifying marketing efforts both in Cyprus and abroad to strengthen Paphos’ position as a tourism destination.
Etap will soon convene a wider meeting with local stakeholders to address seasonality issues. At the same time, it is participating in the European project Smart Tourism – Smart Destinations, with meetings held in Jesolo, Italy. The project promotes smart, sustainable and accessible tourism through digital transformation, cultural initiatives and best-practice exchanges. Running for 36 months and 80% EU-funded, the programme includes 10 partner countries. Etap Paphos is set to receive up to €200,000 to support the region’s transition towards smart and sustainable tourism.
