Larnaca port and marina development plans move forward

Plans for the future development of Larnaca port and marina are moving forward, with a comprehensive proposal expected to be submitted by the end of April. The plan is set to cover upgrades to port infrastructure, marina facilities and the surrounding land areas, aiming to create a more integrated and modern coastal hub for the city.

The proposal builds on earlier concepts that included improvements to road access, new quay construction and expanded passenger facilities, alongside enhancements to the marina. There is also a focus on making better use of nearby land, with ideas that could support a mix of public spaces, visitor amenities and small-scale hospitality services, contributing to a more vibrant and accessible waterfront.

Once submitted, the proposal will be reviewed by local stakeholders, with further discussions expected on design, investment and timelines. In parallel, additional plans are progressing for new facilities in the marina area, as part of a broader vision to enhance the coastal experience and strengthen the area’s role as a key destination for both residents and visitors.
