Poland shows growing interest in organized trips to free Famagusta

Officials in charge of tourism are pleased about the increase in interest in organised trips from Poland to the free Famagusta area. Reports state that after a recent travel expo held in the country, interest increased.

During the Roadshow hosted by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, representatives from the Famagusta Tourist Development and Promotion Company and nearby hotels highlighted the attractions of the free Famagusta area. This event took place in several important cities, including Warsaw, Krakow, and Katowice, between April 8 and April 10, 2024.

Leading tour operators operating in the Polish market had productive talks with the Famagusta Tourist Development and Promotion Company during the Roadshow. Their objective was straightforward yet aspirational: to highlight, inform, and promote the area's distinctive tourism attractions.

Authorities stated that they planned to maintain the increased trend in tourists coming from different Polish cities that has been noticed recently. The main goal was to draw attention to the wonderful experiences and services that the Famagusta area provides for tourists. An air of optimism permeates the air, as estimates indicate that the number of Polish arriving in 2024 will exceed that of the previous year.
