In the distance, Stavrovouni dominates with its monastery. The enormous Tersefanou wind farm blends seamlessly into the beautiful scene that people can observe by the lake. Numerous birds live, and feed on its banks while flights depart in succession from the adjacent international airport of Cyprus. The view is magical. Fresh fruits and vegetables grown and produced by the residents of Meneou can be purchased on the route that connects the city of Larnaca in the east with the settlement of Kitio in the west.
