Klirou is a village located 26 kilometers southwest of Nicosia on the Nicosia-Palaichoriou Road. The area around Klirou is rich in history, with numerous ancient burials and remnants from the Archaic, Classical, and Roman periods found throughout the region. There are two versions regarding the origin of the village's name.
