New trees bring greenery to Paralimni streets
The Paralimni–Dheryneia municipality has planted new saplings along a main road to enhance the area’s greenery and visual appeal. The initiative comes after a donation from the bicommunal technical committee for cultural heritage, which aims to support local environmental and cultural projects.
The saplings were handed over to Mayor Giorgos Nikolettos by the committee’s head, Sotos Ktoris, in a meeting with committee members and the Dheryneia deputy mayor, Nikos Lillis. Workers have already planted the trees along the stretch between the Ayios Panteleimonas roundabout and the Profitis Elias area, creating a greener, more inviting space for residents and visitors.
The municipality shared that more saplings are expected to be donated in the future for other central locations. Mayor Nikolettos highlighted that the project is a positive step toward improving the local environment and expanding urban greenery in the area.
