Moon exhibit returned to Larnaca's Zouhouri Square
Zouhouri Square in Larnaca hosts the return of the Museum of the Moon, bringing its spectacular lunar exhibit for an extended stay.
The lunar spectacle, which attracted visitors from all over Cyprus during the Museum of the Moon's incredibly successful run in Larnaca, has returned to Zouhouri Square.
The Larnaca Municipality has gladly announced an extension for the Museum of the Moon, a mesmerizing work of art that will continue to illuminate Zouhouri Square for these extra three days, in response to the public's requests and the great turnout.
Originally scheduled from Tuesday, November 21, until tomorrow, Thursday, November 23, 2023, the exhibit's reopening provides extra time for locals and visitors to take in this exceptional artistic experience.
Members of the Larnaca Municipal Council, Once in a Blue Moon, and WonderDots have collaborated to make this extension feasible in order to provide more people with the opportunity to view the fascinating lunar installation.
The seven-meter-diameter Museum of the Moon was created by British artist Luke Jerram and is decorated with high-resolution (120 dpi) images from NASA's Scientific Center.
With a scale of roughly 1:500,000, every centimeter of the bright circular display corresponds to 5 kilometers of the moon's surface, providing an incredibly captivating view.
Everyone who wants to explore can enter for free. The renowned BAFTA and Ivor Novello laureate Dan Jones created the audio/musical backdrop, which enhances the experience even further.
This one-of-a-kind installation has been touring the world since its 2016 debut, attracting audiences in both indoor and outdoor environments. Residents of Larnaca and the surrounding area can now experience the moon's grandeur in a way that can only be provided by art, due to its return to Zouhouri Square.
