The Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) has made charging electric vehicles (EVs) more convenient at its 32 public charging stations. EV owners can now pay directly with a card, removing the need for an e-charge subscription. To enhance accessibility, EAC offers a mobile app for Android and iOS, allowing users to locate stations, check availability, and start charging instantly.

The initiative promotes the adoption of EVs in Cyprus, aiming to reduce carbon emissions and support a cleaner environment. EAC’s charging stations use advanced Mode 3 and Mode 4 technology, supporting two simultaneous charges with Type 2 CCS and Chademo sockets. Normal charging delivers up to 22kW, while fast charging reaches up to 50kW.

With widespread public installations, the service ensures nationwide coverage, making EV ownership in Cyprus easier and more sustainable.
